“Out of His fullness, we have all received grace in place of grace already given… Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows… His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness… And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
John 1:16; James 1:17; 2 Peter 1:3; Philippians 4:19
What unmet needs are you struggling with?
God has all that you need for life and godliness.
Everything created belongs to God.
He knows everything you need in order to accomplish all the tasks He has for you to do.
His timing is not your timing but it is always just in time and on time.
The problem with the world is its confusion of needs versus wants and desires. Wants and desires are not bad. But it is important to clearly know the difference and prioritize accordingly.
Don’t let the lies of the world cloud your vision of all the blessings you have been given and are yet to receive.
Rejoice in each moment knowing the Father will provide you with all you need.
Know and receive the peace He promises.
He can meet your unmet needs.
You must believe and trust His will for your life. When you doubt and worry, your faith is reduced and your vision of truth is thwarted.
Your turn …
What is it you need?
What is the worst thing that will happen if you don’t get it today – tomorrow – next week? Evaluate each item honestly.
Do you really need it or simply want it?
Prioritize your needs.
What is your part in ensuring these needs are met? For example, going to work every day…
- Paying your bills timely…
- Tithing to Me…
- Saving a portion.
Have you been responsible for the blessings you have been given?
How do you believe God can meet your unmet needs?
Honestly evaluate and let God help you to adjust your goals and plans accordingly.
Now with a clear mind, pray …
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of his servant…for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is His Name.”
Luke 1:46-49
“Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be… And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
Job 8:7; 2 Corinthians 9:8
Father God will meet every true need that you have!
How to do this as a weekly Bible study
Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
