How to overcome the challenges of life

“Yes, and from ancient days I am He. No one can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?… For no word from God will ever fail…Great is our LORD and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit…Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.”

Isaiah 43:13 Luke 1:37; Psalm 147:5, 145:3

How to overcome the challenges of life

Does anything seem impossible to you right now?

‘Cannot’ is not part of who God is.

‘Will not’ many times is.

You will never be able to wrap your head around the power our God has.

With this power, love abounds. Love for you. Because you cannot begin to comprehend this power, you also cannot begin to comprehend the wisdom and understanding that goes before it.

You must simply believe and trust that God wields His power for His kingdom and in your best interest.

Simply know God can and will at the right time and in time.

Your turn

Take some time and list out all the impossibilities in your mind.

Now knowing these may not be part of His plan for you … for His kingdom, still note by each impossibility – My God can!

And as you go through today and all your tomorrows until The Day – as you witness injustice and unfairness and horrors where it seems there is no answer, remember: My God CAN!

Now, be still and pray

“Sing to God, sing in praise of His Name, and extol Him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before Him—His Name is the LORD. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, He leads out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land…The LORD announces the Word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: Kings and armies flee in haste; the women at home divide the plunder…Praise be to the LORD, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes to escape from death.

Summon Your power, God; show us Your strength, our God, as You have done before. Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the LORD, to Him who rides across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens, who thunders with mighty voice. Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the heavens. You, God, are awesome in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. Praise be to God!… Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

Psalm 68:4-6,11-13,17- 20,28, 32-35; Ephesians 3:20-21

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?… Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear…With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible…But God made the earth by His power; He founded the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.”

Jeremiah 32:27; Isaiah 59:1; Matthew 19:26; Jeremiah 10:12

God is always able to do more for you and in you than you can even imagine! He is able to help you to overcome the challenges of life.

How to do this as a weekly Bible study

Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”

Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).

Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”

Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.

Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
