“This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart…Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time… Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming…Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
Ecclesiastes 5:18-20; 1 Peter 1:3-5,13; Hebrews 4:7
How to Discover a Place Where You Belong
Do you have a place where you belong?
Don’t wait for heaven to know you belong…to know your presence on the planet is worthwhile.
Stop wasting time wondering about what you are here for.
You are here to love God and love others.
There are many ways to show love to the Lord and to others.
We have already discussed some of these and we will talk about more. If you are seeing yourself as an extra on the set of life, you are mistaken.
You are a star and you have the main role. God is sending you opportunities regularly to experience life to the fullest. Pay attention. You don’t want to miss one of them.
Your turn …
How are you going to live?
Make a commitment to use your time wisely and be productive for His kingdom.
With confidence and gratitude, pray …
“I will give thanks to You, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. And, I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of Your Name, O Most High.”
Psalm 9:1-2
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever… But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness…But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
Hebrews 13:8, 3:13; Ephesians 5:13-16

How to do this as a weekly Bible study
Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
