“As it is written: “For your sake, we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:36-39
Do you know how much God loves you?
There is nothing God the Father enjoys more than loving you.
You are the apple of His eye and a delight in His heart.
There is nothing God won’t do to show His love for you. You have always, are always and will be always and forever on His mind and in His heart.
Your joy, peace, and best are His desire for you. Know there is nothing you can ever do to shake or diminish His love for you – ever! Child, you may reject and turn away from God’s love but never will He reject or turn away from you.
Your turn …
What is it you believe makes you unlovable?
List it on paper or simply in your mind.
Now hear God say to you… “Precious child of mine, I love you anyway. I adore you. You are precious to Me. Believe Me and feel the adoration.”
Go to God and pray …
“Hear me, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am faithful to You; save Your servant who trusts in You. You are my God; have mercy on me, LORD, for I call to You all day long. Bring joy to your servant, LORD, for I put my trust in You. You, LORD, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to You. Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress, I call to You, because You answer Me. Among the gods there is none like You, LORD; no deeds can compare with Yours.
All the nations You have made will come and worship before You, LORD; they will bring glory to Your Name. You are great and do marvelous deeds; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, LORD, that I may rely on Your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your Name. I will praise You, LORD my God, with all my heart; I will glorify Your Name forever. For great is Your love toward me; You have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.”
“But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’S love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with
their children’s children—…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing
kindness…See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.”
Psalm 103:17; Jeremiah 31:3; Isaiah 49:16
Nothing can ever separate you from God’s love.
How to do this as a weekly Bible study
Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
