Bible verses about not giving up

“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man… Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good…

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers…

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Luke 21:34-36; 1 Peter 2:2-3; Galatians 6:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:58

There are days that all of us feel like quitting. We get weary, and we want to sit down. Here are some Bible verses about not giving up. #giveup #keepgoing #bibleverses

Bible verses about not giving up

You fail because you quit.

Stop it!

Finish!

Everyday life with the purpose to finish strong.

The world you live in will drag you down if you let it and then the enemy smiles.

It is past time for you to be the one smiling knowing that following God will take you to the finish line in victory every time.

Your turn to think about not giving up…

Make the following your daily mantra.

Look in the mirror and repeat over and over until you feel the power that comes with living in God’s will for you,

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 3:10-14

So are you feeling this power God promises?

No?

Then repeat until you do.

Receive this truth.

Don’t give the enemy what he so desperately wants – a quitter.

Now in confidence come and pray,

“Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who finds great delight in His commands. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice. Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end, they will look in triumph on their foes.”

Psalm 112:1-8

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised… Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power… Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

Hebrews 10:36; Ephesians 6:10; James 1:12

How to do this as a weekly Bible study

Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”

Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).

Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”

Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.

Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?

Would you like to get more involved in the beLydia Movement?

Parents and friends, there are kids being sold for sex right now and they are still going to school and their parents have no idea.

They are being tricked, (often through social media and texting apps) into sharing compromising photos and then trapped into selling more or are tricked into having sex.

WE CAN PREVENT THIS THROUGH SHARING AWARENESS.
