Changing the World Through Hospitality Turquoise Table Podcast

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share beLydia with Kristin Schell on her Turquoise Table Podcast. Kristin is an amazing woman who also has a “God story!”

He inspired her to use a turquoise table on the front of her yard as a way to get to know her neighbors better. The table symbolizes an open heart for hospitality. Pretty soon turquoise tables were popping up all over the United States and it grew into this beautiful movement.

Turquoise Table Podcast Interview with Terri Ingraham where she shares how her non-profit, beLydia, uses hospitality to prevent child sex trafficking. #non-profit . . . . . #momentslikethese #thehappynow #livethelittlethings #habitandhome #nothingisordinary #flashesofdelight #thepursuitofjoyproject #everydaymoments #theartofslowliving #bestill #givemejesus #liveauthentic #christian #propelwomen #ifequip #belydia #givemejesus #biblejournaling #journalingbible #graceupongrace #lampandlight #weareunveiled #Jesus #human trafficking

There’s a funny (sort of?) moment that I want to share. Kristin let me know that the podcast was “live” and she was gracious enough to do a Giveaway of our Deluxe Home Kit and Party with a Purpose Kit on Instagram. Wow, right? So nice of her!!

Well, here’s where I get real.

I closed down our Instagram account about a month ago. I felt God tell me to do that and everyone on my team agreed it was a good decision. We get almost no traffic from Instagram. Most of our traffic believe it or not comes from Pinterest and then Facebook. A few Twitter people but not many.

So to let go of Instagram, even though I love it personally because I’m a visual person was, I thought, a good business decision but more importantly it was a God decision because I felt Him tell me in my heart to let go a long time ago.

It felt GREAT to let it go. A huge weight was taken off my shoulders because I was the one managing it. I was grateful to let it go.

Well, when Kristin reminded me about the giveaway, I thought, oh, I can put it back up for this!

But no.

It’s gone.

For good.

User not found.

And for me, that’s confirmation that it really is a good decision for us to be off because I’m not upset at all. Not even a tiny bit.

Result: We are off Instagram at least until we feel led to get back on.
