“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy…For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children…As you come to Him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to Him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

What’s it like to be a royal princess?
You are God’s daughter and you are exquisite!
Because God is The King, you are His princess…eternal royalty.
Now don’t get puffed up by this knowledge. With this comes great responsibility and calling.
There is an unimpeachable line of authority – King then Princess. Keep this ever in your mind and on your heart.
Remember also, that as His daughter, your complete loyalty belongs to Him. However, He desires for you to see who you are through His eyes in order that you will live your life with grace and confidence, tempered with humility.
Your turn …
Gaze at your reflection.
Who and what do you see?
Probably not a princess … right?
Reread the opening scripture passages and skip over to and read the closing scriptures. Do this three times.
Now as you reflect on His truth, close your eyes and imagine how He sees you. Take your time and receive His truth. Now look again.
Repeat until you see the royalty you are God’s daughter. Write these passages of truth where you will see them regularly to remind you who you are.
Now joyfully pray …
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His Name. For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Psalm 100
“You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’S hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God…Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father’s house. Let the King be enthralled by your beauty; Honor Him, for He is your Lord… Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”

How to do this as a weekly Bible study
Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
