How to go about wisely using your spiritual gifts

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,

a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly…

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the LORD must turn away from wickedness.”

In a large house, there are articles not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work…

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,

not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving… Out of His fullness, we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”

2 Timothy 2:15-16,19-2; Colossians 3:23-24; John 1:16

How to go about wisely using your spiritual gifts

You have opportunities today and for the rest of your tomorrows to serve and walk along with side others.

Remember, God chose you to do exactly that … to realize so much more outside yourself.

Only outside yourself do blessings abound.

Pay careful attention and take advantage of every opportunity that is surely accompanied by a blessing so much richer than any perceived sacrifice.

God wants to use you and help you to wisely use your spiritual gift.

Your turn

Meditate some moments and allow God to remind you of the opportunities available to you this very day.

Be still and listen.

Now make a plan and get to it, precious one of His.

In confidence, come and pray

“Keep me safe, my God, for in You I take refuge. I say to the LORD, “You are my LORD; apart from You I have no good thing.”

Psalm 16:1-2

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus… Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Philippians 4:19; 1 Peter 4:10

How to do this as a weekly Bible study

Day One: Experience
Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”

Day Two: Observe & Read
Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).

Day Three: Interpret
Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”

Day Four: Application
Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.

Day Five: Testify
Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?

Would you like to get more involved in the beLydia Movement?

Parents and friends, there are kids being sold for sex right now and they are still going to school and their parents have no idea.

They are being tricked, (often through social media and texting apps) into sharing compromising photos and then trapped into selling more or are tricked into having sex.

WE CAN PREVENT THIS THROUGH SHARING AWARENESS.
